Golden Globe Inspiration deux!

Brrrrr.... its a cold cooooold winter morning with the weather dipping to nearly -11 C
I have just got bk from dropping my little one to school- ma and baby all bundled up and braced against the freezing wind (it has been snowing in quite a few parts of New York)...
....and now the hot cuppa tea in the toasty warm home with Rihanna belting out "where have you been" is getting me in the mood for some work!
but before I get down to some serious illustration work I thought I'd update you all on a few more Golden Globe inspired fashion sketches and esp as its already yesterday's stale news!
Unlike the earlier golden globe illustrations which were water color...these are completely digital and a little more stylized!
Yenjoy!!  :-D

Golden Globe illustrations...

Golden Globe came and went last Sunday and as usual it was a lot of fun!
lounging on the couch with my fun partner, hubby dearest, and a huge bowl of popcorn was the best way to spend a lazy sunday evening...
The hosts..Amy Poehler and Tina Fey were so much fun...they didnt even leave President Clinton with a “OMG, that was Hilary Clinton’s husband!”
and a tongue in cheek comment for the absence of Meryl Streep:
“Meryl Streep is not here tonight. She has the flu — and I hear she’s amazing in it”
:-)
And of course the drool worthy men in thier tux jackets..
from George Clooney to Hugh Jackman to To Bradley Cooper to Daniel Craig...
the list goes on..
with all the hoopla over who was wearing what?
here are a few inspirational sketches that I have been working on the past couple of days...

the side swept hair seemed quite the popular hairstyle that evening...

and then of course the dresses...
the color theme seemed mostly dramatic red and black or pristine white...
with an occasional eggplant color like the one that Taylor Swift  wore... a lovely Donna Karan Atelier gown with a dramatic mermaid train:

Jennifer Lawrence in a pretty red Dior Haute Couture gown...

I absolutely loved Kate Hudson in the amazingly cut-out and gold-embellished neckline and belt-I havent yet figured out the designer...but the dramatic black and gold looked fabulous!

Marion Cotillard in a beautifully draped Dior Haute Couture dress...love the shoes btw.

Helen Mirren looked regal in a black Badgley Mischka gown elaborately embellished with metallic embroidery.

This is my offereing for today people...working on some more inspired fashion illustrations which hopefully should be up by tomorrow!

Ciao and be good and look great!  :-)
